Email Received June 29th

well hey im finally online haha sounds like a tough week! Didnt the water heater just go out not too long ago?

so yesterday was transfer calls and It looks like I will be staying here for at least another 6 weeks... I'm kinda bummed but at the same time i really wanted to stay. I am just so sick of being full time walk and bike its really taking a toll on my body. I am excited to stay with elder lyman for another transfer though!!

I really thought that email that sister tobler sent to you was really nice! I was like oh thats sweet! Haha So this week was pretty uneventful besides goign to the temple on tuesday. We took gary rojas for the first time and he did baptisms for the dead and he really had a good time i think. I did the confirmations and that was so cool.. It was my first time and I confirmed like 150 + people it was a cool experience. Did you get my thing I sent home yet?

Oh yes the temple was amazing. I sent home a tape and my sd card that I found and I want you to take the files off my sd card and copy them to a safe place for when I get home. Then dont erase it but take a few pics and send it back with a new tape.

So I am thinking that I really am sick of this humidity and what not. thanks for updating my blog but can you make the pictures clickable...I should be going to the arch here soon im so stoked!

Email Received June 22

Hey mom I am going to be on the computer in a little bit. I am at the millers and my companion is going to email first then I will get on so be ready okay love you!!! gather the family if possible and they can write me too.

So I had a pretty good week as well. I started the week off by going and doing some service for some members in the belleville ward. It was pretty lame haha. But then tuesday we had district meeting and that was pretty good. It was our recent convert gary's 51 b day and he is doing so good. we are actually going to the temple tomorrow to do baptisms for the dead with him for the first time. It will be my first time inside the st. louis temple, im so excited. But we had quite an uneventfull week until the weekend. We just had to bare with the extremely retarded weather here! ITs so blasted humid and so gross! Saturday we went on team ups with the belleville missionaries in their area, which is when we go with them and split up companionships so we can cover double ground and help them out in there area. that went pretty good but then the HIGHLIGHT OF MY WEEK was the mormon tabernacle concert! oh my gosh mother it was freakin amazing! I enjoyed it so so much. they can sing so good. You should buy the new come thou fount of every blessing cd....Alex Boye who is in the choir he was a british pop star singer and he did a solo and its on that cd but it was fantastic. We then afterwards went around back and found them getting on the buses and elder davies knew one of the guys in the choir and we talked to everone getting on the buses. It was like a fan club back there cause there was 100 % mormons surrounding us so of course they were like oh Elders hey how are you we love you especially the wifes. But I was trying to fan myself off with one of the programs and one of the wifes came over and handed me a mormon tabernacle fan made just from paper that was lamenated but it says on it "im a mormon tabernacle choir "FAN" " and on the back it says "are you" its pretty funny. So we then rode home and we got home like midnight and it sucked I didnt get any sleep! but then sunday was good and relaxed. We just so happened to get dogged out of our dinner appt. so we were stopping by some people when we just happend to stop by a family about to have dinner and they invited us to join and they made homemade rocky road icecream oh my gosh so good. they are an awesome family in the ward. then today we woke up and went to the city museum again! we went with some youth from the ward and it was so much fun this time. But Im trying to send a video to you through hotmail but the video is pretty long so I might just send my memory card home and have you copy the files to the computer there for me, because I found a 1 gig memory card on the ground the other day so now I have two hehe. but I better cut this one down cause I am on a members computer and its almost curfew. Hurry and write back now......Oh and thanks for the letter and gift card. did you look to see if I had those places near by?

Well it sounds like you had a pretty eventfull week to me! I'm so glad to hear that you found our dog!! I'm excited for her to go off too college also. I am craving to ride a motorcycle so so so bad as of right now. Everyone here has bikes and we walk everywhere so I notice them all and everytime I do it reminds me of ya'll.. But that sounds like a fun trip all besides the food how gross!!! So do you know how the dog got out??? Man that is so scary! Haha you need to exercise your faith at times like that. Read Ether 12:6 right now and tell me what you think.

well ill just send the card home this week but I got to go home now so Ill talk to you later and I love you and have a great week!!! give the family a hug for me and tell curtis happy fathers day and congrats ya'll on the temple sealing!!! Love you son Elder Nash

Hey family how are things going? Things here in Illinois are going great! Things here have been freaking crazy with the weather. I'm sure that you got the link of me on the news how crazy is that haha. I was pretty stoked about being on the news, even for just a few seconds. We were helping an inactive lady clean up her yard. Her windows were all blown out of her trailer and so we went and helped around her yard. It was crazy cause the house that was a street over had a huge tree like 30 in in diameter fell on a house and just crushed its roof and while we were sitting there waiting for a ride there was a crain truck that tried to pull some pieces off the roof and they were way too heavy for the crane and the freaking crane tipped over it was so hilarious!!!!! but anyways the week was alright we had some appointments dog us pretty bad. So the mormon tabernacle choir is coming to the scott trade center on saturday and I might be going. Elder davies has two tickets and they are like 60 dollar tickets and he will sell it to me for only 30 and I really want to go so I am thinking about it. but anyways email me and let me know how things are going! Love, Elder Nash

Here are some pictures from the storm and other things.

Message from the mission...

I received an email on Sunday from a lady in the ward where Tyler is serving. Here it is:

Hello to Elder Nash's family,I am Sister Tobler, I wrote you just after he arrived in the mission. I just wanted to drop you a note today to let you know how Elder Nash is doing. He and Elder Lyman talked in Sac. meeting today. Your son is doing so well. He is getting very tan also. At least a farmer tan. He gave a very good talk about missionary work and about his wonderful family. He was touched to tears about the recent sealing of a brother to you I believe. He was over to my house this week. They had been visiting my elderly neighbor, Mary. I noticed how your son is so much more talkative and outgoing about the mission. He seemed to be taking the lead in the discussion at the house. He is very focused and really sincere about leaving messages with the families and having prayer. He really has come out of his greenie shell and is really doing a good job. He bears a strong testimony and is really doing a nice job. You should be very proud of him. I asked Sister Crowshaw about them and she says they are doing fine at her home and being good elders. Our son has been out a year on the 25th . This is such a special time for the families back home. I hope you are enjoying the monday emails as we are. Anyway he looks good and is really a fine missionary.Have a good week. Love Sister Gayle Tobler

It is just so sweet that people take the time to write letters like this. They mean a ton to the families. Thanks Sister Tobler!

Oh and so this week we were out biking for like 30 min at the most and I ran over a tiny piece of glass that popped my tube and we had to walk everywhere. brother feuerbach bought me a tube but my rim is kinda bent and the brakes rub way bad like slow me down when i am riding so I have to go spend money to get my wheel trued and brakes adjusted and its going to cost like 20 dollars im so mad!!!!!!!

So this week I have found this little poem thing very awesome it was said by President Hinckley at his wifes funeral its called "Put Your Trust In God"

It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is.
It all works out. Don't Worry.
I say that to myself every morning.
It will all work out.
Put your trust in God
and move forward in faith
and confidence in the future.
The Lord will not forsake us.
He will not forsake us.
If we will put our trust in Him,
if we will pray to Him,
if we live worthy of his blessings,
He will hear our prayers.

I have this little saying typed up and laminated that I carry with me everywhere I go. Its really good. I have been studying the Doctrine and Covenants lately and The scriptures I will use this week are all from that.D&C 3:10"" 4""5:35""6:29-31""8:10""10:4-5""29:14-21 (way intense)

oh and i am speaking in sacrament this coming sunday....ughh

well mom its about time you got those [packages] off haha j/k......but really. So this week has been a way interesting one. The weather was way hot then it got way wet. We were riding our bikes home this week and got about half way down hartman lane and discovered that it was going to rain...oh about the time that it started. so we got soaked from head to toe. When we pedaled down our feet went into the water in the gutter thats how much water was flowing. The water from my slacks was draining out the bottom in a steady flowing stream into my shoes. it was a great night. But its been way nice here and I am really enjoying my new companion we laugh more than ever. My abs most likely are getting way strong from all the laughing. So mom i hate to ask this but umm its getting way hot and I would like a camelbak that I can wear here and that has enough room like a normal backpack so I can still carry all my stuff in it here is a link to the ones i was looking at.
